The purpose of the Preview Workshop was to introduce the County Commission and the community to the planning process for the update to the County’s Comprehensive Plan, "Smart Charlotte 2050". The purpose of Smart Charlotte 2050 was to prepare a long-term vision for the County based on community and stakeholder feedback and to translate this vision into a large-scale Comprehensive Plan amendment. The study process would review current land use policies and provide alternatives and recommendations to those policies to address issues and concerns raised during the community input process.
